ABOUT THE PROJECT
Canberra Commercial Contractors worked with Monarch Building Solutions to transform the ground and first floor public spaces at the Royal Australian Mint. Along with audio-visual systems, joinery, graphics, flooring, partitions and mechanical services, the space was enhanced with black ceiling grid and Apex tiles. The end result is a refreshed visitor’s centre that compliments the Mint’s history with a modern feel.

APEX™ BLACK
Apex Black is a simple, yet stunning tile. Constructed from a mineral fibre base – like its twin, the Apex White – and finished with a matt black paint, this tile is ideal for creating spaces with striking atmosphere.
A perforated face ensures the Apex Black performs well with respect to acoustics. In this project, the Apex was used in a 600 x 600mm configuration, leading to a unique effect within the ceiling that blends with the space.
