ABOUT THE PROJECT
A landmark project for NCS: six storeys of office space completed in collaboration with BVN and BLOC.
NCS were engaged to complete a seismic design for this project, as part of the integrated base build and fit-out. The design incorporated NCS’ seismic componentry, and back-bracing within the large floor plates.
The ceiling across all six storeys featured the Pinnacle acoustic ceiling tile, installed on Trident 24mm grid.
PINNACLE
This project was unique in both its scale and the way materials were secured, stored and supplied by NCS.
A letter of intent was received from the builder around 12 months before installation was due to begin. This enabled NCS to order and secure stock for the project, and hold it in our warehouses: buffering the project team against price increases that could have occurred across the timeframe.
This also meant that when supply was initiated, NCS was able to speedily distribute product through our network, ensuring there were no lags or hold-ups on-site.
The success of this project highlighted another strong point of the NCS supply chain: we operate with a dedicated, single source of supply for all mineral fibre tiles in our range. The benefit of this is that all panels are consistent, even if purchased in post-installation phases or in multiple lots.
Reflecting our commitment to upholding local manufacturing where possible, all seismic accessories and column trims were fabricated in Australia. As well as ensuring these items were high-quality, this also made for rapid lead times with accessory supply.
