Teg Tabs

Introducing the Teg Tab to the National Ceiling Systems range, from the famous TegTab company in New Zealand. This small plastic extrusion makes installation of tegular edge tiles simpler and more efficient, while maintaining the desired aesthetic. The two different sizes are suitable for both 24mm standard and 15mm Narrowline Trident grid systems.

Installation is simple:

1. Step 1: When installing your Trident grid system, lower the wall angle by 6mm.
2. Step 2: Snap the tab onto the grid, with the angled side facing away from the perimeter.
3. Step 3: Slide teg tab across to the wall. To finish, cut the edge of the tiles square.

This product eliminates the need for hand rebating on-site, as perimeter tiles only need to be cut square; and the tab creates the tegulated effect. For a subcontractor, reduced labour means less cost, less risk of labour overruns, and potentially improved margins or competitiveness.

For the end user, the tabs ensure that the perimeter of the ceiling is neat and subtle, maintaining a consistent, factory-like finish throughout the space although edge tiles may be smaller, unusual sizes. 

These tabs avoid “revealed edges” or exposed raw cut edges (a common problem when other trades remove/replace tiles), so the finish is more consistent.
